 Jon Kyl is a former United States Senator from Arizona where he served as Senate Minority Whip, the second highest position in the Republican Senate leadership. Kyl served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1987-1955. In February 2011 Kyl announced he would not seek reelection to the U.S. Senate in 2012 and would retire at the end of his third term. HE has ruled out running for further offices except if offered the Vice Presidency.
